FAQ

  • What does a dietitian do?

A dietitian provides medical nutrition therapy to help patients facilitate recovery, promote overall health, and manage conditions, such as diabetes. They work with patients to understand health challenges, track progress, and design meal plans.

  • Why is a dietitian necessary for elderlies?

Dietitians are necessary for elderlies because they have the medical expertise to provide disease-specific dietary strategies and closely track progress to reach optimal health outcomes.

  • What should I do to prepare for a dietitian assessment?

Family members and/or caretakers can prepare the necessary documents before an appointment:

a copy of the patient’s blood tests and their medical history (current medication,

past illnesses). In addition, the dietitian will expect to learn more about the patient’s diet, lifestyle, and exercise habits.

  • Can nutrition counseling be provided in the home, or is a clinic/hospital a better option?

Our nutritional therapy services can be provided in the hospital or at home.  Although hospitals/clinics may be better equipped with therapeutic tools and machines, there are many treatments that do not require such specialised equipment, and can be done anywhere. No matter the location, our dietitians ensure that every patient will get one-on-one attention and close supervision.

  • How much does a dietitian cost?

A dietitian assessment is $1,800/session (1-hour). Follow-up sessions is $900/session (30-mins).  If you would like a personal quotation, please contact us for more pricing information.

  • How can I be sure the person coming into my home is trustworthy?

Simple. Our clients are special to us; we demand our cargivers are special too. All Evercare professionals are personally vetted and tested. We have a lot of contact with each cargiver to ensure they are not only qualified, but they are personable and trustworthy enough to care for our clients. For extra confidence, we give you the opportunity to view caregiver profiles before the start of your service. In-person interviews are also available upon request.

With a track record of trusted service and over 100,000 hours of nursing care, we are confident that all our care professionals coming into your house are trustworthy.

  • What if I want to change my care professional?

Give us a call at 3905 4000 or WhatsApp your Evercare Care Manager. We can discuss what aspects of the care you want changed so we can provide you with a more appropriate match.

  • Do I need a doctor's referral letter?

A doctor's referral letter is not required. Clients using nutritional therapy services for the first time are only required to undergo an intial assessment with Evercare.
